Throughout the semester, I always thought that this class would not change me. That my ability to present and
work as a team will not change. I stood corrected when I finished a presentation from another class. When I finished
the presentation I realized how much I had grown. In the presentation, we were a firm, and our goal was to
demonstrate to the client how our design was superior. Many groups focused so much on creating the design that
they forgot the importance of appealing to this specific person into choosing our design. As such, I warned
my team members that were all acting the same way the importance of this. This is when I realized how much
I had changed due to this class. I am now more analytical and precise when presenting. This is all thanks to my
professor of Writing for Engineers Stephen Conway. Before this class, I was blind from the need that I had of
this skill. I am now able to use this newly developed skill. And not only that but now I know how much it will help
me in my future career. I thank professor Conway, for showing me a life lesson that I will likely not have learned
from any other teacher.
